5-axis and mill/Turn Machining for Defense Metal Parts
5-axis CNC and mill/turn multi-axis machining let us finish complex metal parts in fewer setups, which keeps tolerances and feature relationships consistent from lot to lot. Materials for Machined Defense Parts
Material follows the print. That includes aluminum, stainless steel, and tool steels, plus demanding alloys such as Inconel when a program needs strength at temperature or corrosion resistance. Alloy, finish, and any plating or coating requirements are reviewed with your engineering team before release. Plating and coating are managed with qualified vendors when required.
ITAR, CAGE 5ETU6, and Quality Systems
Plastimold is ITAR registered and maintains internal controls for the manufacture, export, and transfer of defense articles and technical data. Our CAGE code is 5ETU6, with Active status with DoD DLA.
Quality systems include AS9100, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 13485, with CMMC Level 2 Compliant status as a supporting trust signal. Critical characteristics are checked with Mitutoyo CMM inspection, and first-article results are documented before production release.
